Alignment, Corner Weighting, and First Drive

I have never driven my car farther than in and out of my trailer. I ran it thought the gears on stands, but nothing beyond that. My goal this year was to make it to The Old School Reunion 2024 . I made an appointment a couple months ago to get my car into AR Motorsports to get the suspension set up ...

where did you get the clips along the bottom of the door that hold the seal?

Hardest thing I have done so far; AKA drilled holes for mirrors

I like a 'balanced' car so I always wanted a passenger mirror. Since stock tall stalk matching LH and RH mirrors are super rare, I found a pair of chrome 210/620/Sunny mirrors on Yahoo Japan. They were only a dumb price and not a totally ridiculously stupid price  . I know these mirrors are '...

Re: Stu's 1972 4 Door

I've been looking at ordering door panels from Tree-Ausawa as well, for the exact same reason. It looks like they do nice work, are you happy with the quality? Excellent job on the speaker installation! Thanks. I really like the door panels. They are the correct size with all the big holes cut and ...

Door Cards and Front Speaker Install

Way back, I built speaker mount plates for the front speakers in the doors. Once I picked out my speakers, I added additional threaded inserts (not shown) that fit the speakers. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/pw/AP1GczPr6dtcY9N4wljfX-JrZzYxCBzMEowFH4IFbNrXlKJZDJ7GoHmbKORbaAVfD58UK_iKSEiuqNVN3xu7n...

Re: Stu's 1972 4 Door

Thanks everyone for the kudos. I'm pretty happy with it and hope it stays looking tight and smooth. I've never done a console before so will see how it goes. Really nice work on that console, looks awesome. What did you use the cover the rear of it, is that a piece of ABS? How did you attach the shi...

Center Console

Original center consoles are expensive, hard to find, and would most likely not fit my modified tunnel. I drew up a center console with a small front pocket, a shift boot, seat heater switches, power port, and a couple of big cup holders. I have a friend with an NC router and we cut the top plate an...

I’m not a smoker but also was excited to clean up and ‘restore’ my rear ashtrays. Such a throwback. Mine mostly had gum in them. At least the kids who rode in the back weren’t smokers ;)

Re: 72 Ultra Orange - Bucket List Restomod

How long is the harness to the ECU? Could it go under the passenger seat? Having mine on the firewall is not too visible but I would have mounted it under the glove box if I did not put all of my relays and fuses there. I’d hate to give up the glove box

Rush, when I did my cable I could not figure out how to re-dimple the housing so I used set screws: https://www.the510realm.com/viewtopic.p ... 93#p280593

Re: Stu's 1972 4 Door

Those clips are neat, never seen them. Progress! I saw them 'forever' ago while looking for something else at DAPS and grabbed them knowing that I would forget where I saw them Nice work as usual Stu. Gooned, I think Rush also used those clips on hers. I just did my second set of 2 door the rubber ...

510 outer window squeegee seals belts and trim refresh

My outer squeegee rubbers were hard, brittle and mostly missing. Since I have them off for paint, I freshened them up. I bought the full set of squeegees from Datsport. Since the metal strip that holds the rubber to the trim is stapled on, I bought clips and dispenser from Datsun & Auto Parts Su...
