Hey JordanTr,
Thank you for your reply,
The pinion and crownwheel are a matched pair and shouldn't be swapped.
But if we look at this picture we can see the spacer on this side,
But on the short nose, it sits on the opposite side.
This is the offending part.
Upgrading rear diff
Re: Upgrading rear diff
Hmmm. I understand what you mean now... the c clip groove on the output shafts won't work very well given the offset switch from one side to the other. Maybe try to assemble the whole thing and see if there's enough forgiveness in the whole output shaft to absorb the changes?

Mine seemed to be okay. It was an s13 vLSD with 5x1 r32 skyline gtst output shafts.

I have assembled one. Yea, still not right.
The left input goes in, but doesn't lock with the circlip and then it just flops out.
The right side, doesn't go in the full way.
It is very odd. I have done some reading and no where have I found my issues being noted.
I am not sure if i have just a weird set of parts or i am putting it together wrong.
Although there is only one real way for it to go together.

Update, Broke ( I think that's his handle on this site ) came around last night.
After looking through pics and searching the internet for weeks coming up dry.
We pulled the 2way back out and pulled it apart thinking maybe i had it in the wrong way.
Everything looked correct so refitted, still same deal. Then thought maybe if we flipped the input sleeves around left to right
( The sleeves that the inputs fit into, not sure what they would be called. )
Refitted the center, Now it is all good. Perfect. So in conclusion that 8mm spacer is the issue and it fits on some models,
I am thinking the 4.1 & 4.3 diffs might be the ones to go for since the crownwheel offset might be different.
