240sx crossmember in 510 for SR?

Someone was making engine mounts and crossmembers and said the 240sx crossmember wont work and the sr wont fit in the datsun with it, is this true?

I believe I read that the stock 240 crossmember will work but you have to flip it?

It's way too big. Suspension geometry would be quite horrible. Some (icehouse) and others have done a full front suspension with S12 parts but those are narrower than an S13.

In short, yes it could be done with a lot of work, but it is far from an ideal solution. There are fitting kits you can get if you want a bolt it solution. Datsport, maddat etc..

240sx crossmember almost bolts in. One of the bolts lines up but the other one is too wide for the stock holes. The main problem with this swap is that the lower control arm is way too far forward because it is in the center of the crossmember...not in the rear like a 510 crossmember. I have tried almost every crossmember / suspension combo their is if you have specific questions. Sheck out my swap I am posting right now. Its a 3uz bolted to a r33 crossmember. Almost bolted right in!
