Re: Happy Canada Day Eh!
I spent the afternoon watching a local band most Canadians have heard of - the Odds - play a great set here in a little park in this small city of Maple Ridge - merely blocks from my home. No commute, no traffic, beautiful weather and my kids danced away to a band far older than they are.... pretty much spot on!
Had a great Canada Day, thanks to the Odds and the event organizers at the City of Maple Ridge.
This morning, while measuring and bolting together the crank into my brothers new L20B, I seriously thought of crashing Surreys Canada Day party - they had Our Lady Peace! And although I would have loved to see them, I had a great time locally with music and a handful of food trucks with no fuss. No regrets! Besides, I took way too much time measuring the mains, measuring the shell thicknesses, measuring the bearing bores with a dial bore gauge - doing all the math and then bolting it all together with plastic-gauge to double check the work (yes, they did come to nearly the same conclusion) - I was too late to get to Surrey anyways, but found some tree shade to put my Colman chair under, and rocked away to 2 sets of the Odds at our local Memorial Peace Park with a Meat and Bread pulled pork sandwich between sets... life was good! Kids and wife thought so too.
Now I wish the same good times to our friends down south, to an equally enjoyable celebration of independence in a couple days time, eh.

I was in Canada last year on Canada day. My teenage kids are still talking about it.

I jacked my car on the lawn and pulled my zx 5 speed and lifted in an '85 CA18ET 5 speed that I had earlier put an L series front case on. I'm not getting any younger. That 5 hrs cost me big time come Tuesday morning. Still... a great Canada day.

YES!
Nice weather today, eh!
Tide is heading to low now, tons of people hitting the beach today so far and will be pushed back in quite quickly soon.

I'm a little late, but echo the sentiment.
fun read if a few years old. https://canadathroughmyeye.com/2017/06/ ... tal-icons/
I loved SCTV and still watch clips occasionally. Perry Como is still alive!
