Re: 510 seat belt kit
Lou, I thought of this the other day. I bought some of these replacement button stops for one of my cars that was missing one. Worked great. This could hold the belt sides together on the upper half and still be removeable if desired. https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2499334.m...

Re: Stock Flywheel vs. Fidanza Aluminum for Turbo L20B
I've had a Fidanza 10lb flywheel behind my SR20DE S14 for 10/12 years now and to date drivability is awesome. It takes off nice and smooth, great on the hiway, no surging and it made quite a difference in acceleration hell I drove it to Oregon in 2017 and been driving to West Virginia Summit Point s...

Personally, I'd install the trans then measure for correct shaft length.

Re: 510 seat belt kit
I recently purchased a set of front belts from Seatbeltplanet.com/i-304994. The biggest issue I'm having with mine is the metal oval loop that attaches both the drop-down and shoulder belt keeps going vertical on me and won't stay in its fixed horizontal position. This causes both the drop-down and ...

Hey Rush glad to see you back at it. Keep up the good work because when your done and driving the 510 that over whelming feeling of "I built this" will be the biggest high.

Re: Why no Turbo Tom part 6 in 510 again?
Part 6 may never have gone to print but I know the person who purchased that particular motor and ran it for a few years then sold it to the 510's Are Us clan in NC.

It is hard to see the shape when with multiple colors. What I've done is, get a good wide beam light, turn off all the lights in the work area and cast a shadow down the worked areas. That shadow will follow any unwanted contour, revealing the need of more beer for more work.

Re: 2.3L of fun
I would keep the stock heavy flywheel. I put for the first time ever a lightened flywheel in one of my cars and I hate it. It makes clutch release more of a pain and didn't feel like any more power. I also read afterwards a dude who worked at a shop with a dyno run his car after every upgrade. Ligh...

Re: Stock front wheel alignment
It's likely they don't have the specs for our 510's. Here in NH I could not find a single place to do mine for that reason. I told them I had my own specs and it was a double decline due to they didn't want to be responsible of any issues none vehicle specs may cause causing a bunch of come backs be...

We should have all gotten together and gone up to watch Dave Patten run his 510 at the "Race to the Clouds" Mt. Washington Auto Road race last weekend plus to see Pastrana break his record. But I had forgotten about the race plus got the date F'kt up Argggh!

Re: '71 4 Door - Mikuni'd KA24DE
Looks great with the "D" slotted mags. Ya, being that low (in my opinion) on Massachusetts/NH roads is not a great idea, to many suspension killing pot holes and sunken manhole covers. This is the only reason my 510 doesn't sit as low as most. Now that Paul has his 510 on the road we need ...
