That explains your lengthy rants. Offer's still open, chief.

Re: Possible better alternative to 280ZX struts found

Miss quoting me is sad. I simply asked for some clarity. Well the take away now is that you made some claims about strut angles that aren't backed up and it's up to me to prove you right?????? It's called paraphrasing. You also talked a lot of irrelevant shite, told me I was wrong, and are now clai...

Re: Possible better alternative to 280ZX struts found

Not going to pipe down, I want to know. If not 10 degrees or if they are all different it's important to know. img]https://i.imgur.com/jYNq4kf.jpg[/img] So what is this angle between the tube and the spindle? Is it the same for all those struts? https://i.imgur.com/V5ge41z.jpg This is meaningless. ...

Re: Possible better alternative to 280ZX struts found

Measuring the bottom where the steering knuckle and ball joint join makes some bad assumptions. If you go back and look at my other posts here you'll see that I've already addressed that. The true angle is the strut tube to the spindle. I already knew that, also Earth orbits the Sun. Now send me so...

Re: Possible better alternative to 280ZX struts found

I don't know what it's going to take to convince people here, I can only explain it to you, I can't understand it for you. But it would be nice to not be treated like a QAnon conspiracy theorist, unless you feel like sending me some free strut tubes at your expense. Dang now I want to go back and d...

Re: Possible better alternative to 280ZX struts found

The base to spindle angle is the same on both ZX struts, however obviously the tube is 2° off on one of them. funwithmonkeys wrote: 03 Jan 2022 22:20 I think someone gave you a z strut and said it was a zx.
If that was the case then they would have different part numbers. And it would be 4° off instead of 2, if what you say about the 280Z angle being 14° is correct.
So no, they didn't.

Re: Possible better alternative to 280ZX struts found

Not only is the strut angle different but one of the mounting faces/spindles protrudes further than the other one. It's hard to measure and even harder to photograph, the line is an exaggerated one to give an idea.

Re: Possible better alternative to 280ZX struts found

They are. I have the zx struts and they work just fine with 5° of camber. The Z struts are the ones that you cannot get enough camber with. They are not. Here's where the difference actually is between them. I borrowed a mate's ZX strut today, both his and mine are Tokico and part #54303 P6500 B577...

Re: 510 scrub radius and wheel fitment calc

Hello, I'm here to claim my prize for finding the ZX struts with the different angle to a 510. The more I google my C32 strut conundrum (see my other post in suspension) the more I see folks claiming these don't exist. Yet I also see people saying their camber is f@&ed after fitting ZX struts. S...

Re: Possible better alternative to 280ZX struts found

So here are the Laurel and ZX hubs - yes they're very crusty, sorry. Underneath them is a big socket which is sitting against the inner bearing. Been doing some googling and the Laurel setup looks similar to what the yanks got in V6 powered S12s or whatever an "M30" is, except some of the ...
