FEB 2008 - WEBSITE UPDATE

Post by 5teN »

I'll detail what was upgraded and why...eventually...maybe...

Thanks to you all for the comments and criticism. I will keep these in mind as I prioritize the next set of work I do on the website. If I've missed a request, please let me know so I can add it.

Things to work on:
  • - Quick Reply Feature MOSTLY DONE 04-FEB-08
    - Show Last post title on Forum List page DONE 04-FEB-08
    - Introduction/Home/Index Page with recent posts, online users, etc
    - Move Navigation Bar down below header image
    - Gallery2 Setup & Integration
    - GarageMOD
    - Migrate Old Tech Articles to Forum
    - Migrate 510 History to Forum
    - Remove Old files
    - Move Poster Info to left side - Definitely not a priority
Answered Questions:
  • - View New Posts Gone? Right side of Menu Bar at the very top of the page
    - Is there a Gallery? Not yet - but there will be, and it will be awesome!

I wouldn't even bother - makes the forum unique.

Hey hang_510, I'm able to view that part - can you explain a bit more what is happening? Any chance of a screenshot?

Is there anyone else experiencing this problem?

First, it looks great. Much appreciation out here from the users :)

So, the posts containing images that are hosted on outside load wider than the page image is. On the old forum, there was a scroll bar at the bottom. When you would scroll right to be able to see the entire image(s), the only thing lost was the avatar and poster name, no big deal, but now, the pages(the ones i looked at) with images hosted on outside servers dont have a scroll bar, and cut off the right side of the img.

test quick reply...

Thanks for the heads up - I think it was Richard who posted that as well but I wasn't sure what he meant. I will try and test that - although it doesn't sound like it will be a simple solution.

Is there a "key" to show what the various icons of the site are, such as whan there is a red dot on a particular thread, or when it's "on fire"? Knowledge is Power.
