I ground the old staples off and re-used the metal plate. I drilled a 7/32 hole where the staples went thru (1 side of staple only) and installed a 7/32 aluminum rivot. I used 7 rivots per side. I thought about putting glue onto the rubber but did not. The scraper works and looks fine.

I was checking sources just this week and the moldings are readily available from MSA and Black Dragon. I just haven't had the chance to comapre them side by side. Too busy working on my condo really to do much of anything else. I am thinking though that other than trimming for length, they should work.

Went to PNP today and pulled a squeegee off a 77 280Z- it's about an inch too short for my 2 door 510 :(

Other than length, did it look like a good fit for the 510? I have a 4 door so the overall door length is shorter.

It was a good fit other than being too short. If I could fit the one I got today in a $5 flat rate Express Mail envelope, I'd send it to you

Well that is a great piece of news other than being too short for the 2 doors....Perhaps the guys with 4 doors and wagons can utilize the Z car squeeges to solve the availability issues.
Thanks for the update of the fitment issue. I appreciate it

Chris

Maybe I spoke too soon...Is the door on the 4 door sedan actually shorter than the 2 door? Hmmm, I am not knowing.

I was looking at the basic doors on the Z car and he 2+2 is longer than a stock Z door...therefore, a squeege for the 2+2 would probably fit. They too are available at Black Dragon for $49.95 per side NEW>

Hope that helps

I'll post the 2+2 question on Ratsun and see if someone with a 2+2 can measure the squeegee.

yes it is, by ~2"
may still require trimming for a perfect fit.

Great..thanks for the information. All things considered, if we can use the Z car squeege and it is a brand new item for $50/side...we are lucky. NOS or OEM stuff that is being offered for outrageous prices is fine but this looks to be a really affordable alternative.

I think I am going to order a pair to test fit on the new 4 door. Hopefully it will look great once finished.
