Oakridge Oregon King of the hill?

Post by Mattndew76 »

So could anyone tell me more information about this event? Or post a link? Depending on the dates of the event, I could host a back yard camp out for people interested in attending this hill climb. Hoping to keep a datsun only camp out.
Please link more info on the climb or Ideas, Interest?

You can find my report from this event last year somewhere in the forums here. I should be back again with more power and stickier tires in 2007! I will probably be staying at the hotel in Oakridge though.

Bump. I'm hoping to go as a spectator / media guy to shoot some B-roll for my datsun oriented short film. I hope to see you there, Derek!

I need to talk to the organizers...

An Idea doesn't work unless you do.

I think the site said there is camping available. Would anyone here like to camp versus staying at a hotel?

I might camp -- but the motel is so close and comfortable! The camping is basically just sleeping next to the road and near the portable toilets. No fires though.

Ahh dang no fires makes it almost worthless. I'm game for either.

I can offer a spot to camp and have a fire pit. I live 20 minutes from Oakridge. And the lake is in walking distance from my house.

Derek are you still going? What are your plans? I'm most likely going to be filming at the Bible Creek Hillclimb in august, but still would like to spectate at Larison.

Sorry to say, not going to make it this year. The car is in the shop again and I don't want to run the risk of wrecking before heading across the continent to Targa Newfoundland. Hope you have a good time, and good luck with your film.
