I really wish I get to the point that I can build a clean car like this for driving my family around. I still need a track car, but damn, this this is beautiful. Not only is the exterior clean, but the small details are done with a lot of thought and the execution is spot on. Great job on this build sir, great job.

Thanks for the kind words everybody.

While I built this car with every intention of keeping it and passing it on to my kids, life's priorities change, and I've decided to sell the 510. Today a one-week live auction started over at Bring-A-Trailer. Below is a link, please pass it on to anyone you know who may be interested.

I'll be sticking around the Realm, but now is a good time for words of THANKS to all of you from whom I've learned much and gotten to know both personally and virtually.

Wow, I'm surprised to see you selling this. Massive respect for an incredible, inspiring build. Good luck with whatever the next project or chapter is for you after the sale. I think BaT is a good place to sell a car this nice.

Congrats on the auction Brad.

$45,510.

Is this a record for a street build 510?

Congrats, Brad!

That's some good coin right there!

P.S. - Who did you have as an insurance provider and were you agreed value?

Holy smokes man, to hell with Leno, there's a new euphemism in town, it's called "The Dino Effect". This will be the new price standard by which all 510's are judged, congrats.

I watched this auction this afternoon...this is so good for the 510 world and I know I am smiling as this just raises the value of my car again.

As I did last year, I think there are a large group of people out there that should get some sort of agreed value, as there are some very nice cars and there are some good yardsticks now for the valuators to look at. Why fight an insurance company.

Congrats Brad.

Yes congratulations. That was nice to see, a car going to a price that shows the work put into it. And Keith I am one of those people, can you send me the info of who you used?

Interesting watching this style of auction as the countdown time would reset to 3 minutes until no one bid again. Good to see all your hard work paid off. Congrats!!

Norm, I will PM you later when I get home and get the contact information. Really nice car guy!

For all CDN's to ponder, at a straight up exchange rate, this translates to about...57,342.00 CDN, no small amount. Last year, my car was at 50,000.00 CDN

Great for guys that own cars, not so much for those looking.
The days of the cheap Japanese car appears to be over.......that thing went for Porsche money

Norm,
Same guy that appraised Keith's car did mine. Good guy, immensely respected and impeccable credentials.

Brad, has the buyer made contact? Does he seem legit? In other words, it's great that your auction was so successful, but has the deal materialized? Where is the car going?

Very cool all the way!
