Datsun 510 ... 4x4?

Post by Boaty »

Hey guys.. I was having some dirty thoughts a lil while ago, came up with an idea I bet would actually work!

I wonder how hard it would be to make drop a 2-door.. maybe a 4-door or wagon? ANY 510.. onto a 4x4 chassis and make a 4x4 510????

Hmm... just a thought. I'd like to see some Photoshopped idea's! 'late.

there was such a wagon in our club calendar last year. Perhaps we can get it online...
And as an aside the 2004 club calendars are almost done and I will be bringing them to the xmas party.

You know, for those of us starting to accumulate grey hairs like myself, back in the days of Rex Jennet and the UFO Reports (United Five-Ten Owners for inquiring minds), there was a photo of a wagon or sedan on a slightly shortened Toyota 4x4 chassis. Not a new thought Steve, but I'd like to see one done that wasn't a total hack job!

My "unlimited funds" 510 is a 2dr with full GTI-R running gear. That's an AWD SR20DET $more than I have.00 dream, folks.... Now nobody steal my dream.

Ok.. just on a note.. I have a 4-door that's sitting around here (Secret Locale, stripped and crappy shell!) that I am going to do that to for a little project..
That would kick ass... maybe put it on an old 4x4 Chevy Luv frame?
I don't care how high it would be.. but damnit that would kick ASS! Especially around my place.

I miss being able to hop in the truck and go do some mud-bogging with my brother, or go snow-drift with my dad. KICK ASS!

If anybody has any good pics, or information on how to do all that.. PLEASE FIND IT FOR ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
