Hi Merlin, aside from the one Ross had, never. It's looking pretty good there, love to see it on the road soon!

Great find. Styling look almost domestic. I bet you'll really confuse some people with that one. For a weekend, drive around with Oldsmobile badges or something and have some fun conversations.

Merlin, you'll have to post some pics of the interior (no matter how bad it is), the dash, and under the hood. I'd love to see them.
I looked at a 69 Cedric when I was a teen. A Fijian guy had it for sale in Richmond at the time. 3 spd on the tree, 4 wheel drum brakes, 6 cyul push rod motor, and enough room to easily put 6 people in the car! I’d like to see pics of yours.

Cedric on SSI

Post by tmpnet »

There was a Cedric on Salt Spring Island for sale a long time ago. I can`t recall what year it was. Byron, Tad (a roadster guy and VIDE member from Victoria) and I went to look at it once. Tad was interested in buying it but it was in really rough shape and more project than Tad wanted to get into. I recall he had some spare parts with it; a windsheild, engine, tranny and maybe other stuff. Has to be atleast 10yrs ago now though, but it might still be there. I haven`t been back to the island in about 4yrs now but I could probably get the guys number from my old boss if he knows who I mean, as he was a customer. Do you remember any more details about the car Byron?

Wasn't that car a wagon, Peter? And it was a 4 cyl car, I don't remember much else. It was in a ratty old barn that looked like it was about to fall on the car!

I thought sedan? But to tell the truth I can`t say for sure now. It was a 1900 4-cyl though. That stuck in my head for some reason.

god! A windshield on saltspring... If I knew what Eye teeth were, I'd trade them in for one... any leads would be good please... right now I have a guy willing to wade through the jungles of Pennsylvania next week to possibly retrieve one for me.

Byron, btw, the interior is nearly mint... the headliner is clean intact, the dash is crack free, the seats and everything are all orginal iand almost tear free.

I like that car alot ...looks like the front doors would bolt directly on to a 61 impala with that funky wrap around windshield ....
2 thumbs up and a snap
Cheers
