68 wagon going 2dr

I got this 68 a while back with the plan to 2dr swap it, it was stripped and had the floors and parts of the firewall and the flange where the fenders mount cut off or out. This will be a bit slow for a month or so while im healing from back surgurey but i will post more pics when i start back on it.

The wagon pillar was a bit of a pain to get out.. i got as far as i could on this side until i get new rocker panels. The 2dr pillar is just sitting there for the mean time, i also have to track down the quarter panels for a 2dr thats in good shape or buy new ones.

A short suicide door on the passenger side (ala RX-8) to make a 3 door would be cool, albeit much more difficult.

Im probably in over my head with it, but only one way to learn! Ive never really done anything like this and it sucks to find 510s let alonr 510 parts out my way. The car was pretty hacked up when i got it so im looking at it as its already messed up so i can either fix it or its gonna be a parts car for my others if i mess it up to much. But so far its been cool to cut into it and see how its all put together and trying to figure out how to fix and repair it

That's a cool project! I love the 3 door idea but I'm sure that'd really add to the difficulty!

Don't remember when and where i saw pictures of a two door wagon, but it looked right, very nice and cool.
How do you "fix" that the wagon doors are a little bit taller. Well actually it's the window frame that makes it taller.
Will the gap above the top of the two door be bigger than you like. (assuming the 68 wagons also have the taller doors like the later models).
Once i put a wagon door in a four door sedan without knowing about the difference at the time. Can't remember if it was any problems.
When you're done you'll have something very few others have.

You can some what see ithe difference in length here, the primer one is the wagon post, and blue is 2dr. Its about 1/4in off im going to cut a little section out of the original wagon post to weld onto the 2dr one to fill that gap. As for the doors i havent looked at working that part out to much yet. I know the window frame for the rear quarter window ill have to rob the frame pieces from the wago back door to weld to them so the quarter window will be right.
