Morning World!

Another sunny but cool day here in White Rock, at least we have had a taste of summer now.

Last Monday I was again privileged to be able to help Andy, Ricardo and Danno run the track day at Mission. Andy is riding the new Aprillia RSV4, a wonder of technology, 215 HP, just crazy. Having had a bad motorcycle crash when I was 16, I can't image what it would be like to ride one of these monsters. Last time I rode a motorcycle was testing a Kawasaki 1,000 I think, across the Queensborough bridge, rolling on the throttle as the corner straightened and feeling like the bike was going to leave me on the ground.

I was tasked with putting on and taking off the tire warmers, a HOT job to say the least. Checking tire pressures and fueling was also in the order book.

Danno had a slight oil leak from one of the case covers but not an issue for the day.

The day went well, nobody went down and the bikes all ran very strong, other than by late afternoon, the heat was causing the loss of some power.

I saw 38C on the thermometer and Andy said he saw 100F on the track.

I left about 3:30, deciding to take a back road home, thus avoiding Hwy #1. Good thing, as when I crossed over the highway on 264th, it was GRIDLOCKED in both directions. Insane how antiquated that highway is now and the traffic load just overwhelms it. With the long weekend upon us, it was nuts on the Sea to Sky, the CUT and again, # 1 was DONE what with the pilgrimage heading out of town.
