Our old friend Glen Goodwin has offered his Nissan Dealership lot for a car show and has his team on board to help organize.
There are also food trucks organized to attend, and a nice large lot to fill with Nissan of all ages.
I talked to Glen this morning. 49 spots are already filled and registration just opened!
The show entry will be limited to 150, and I presume this will fill up fast.
Registration is simple online.
It'll be nice to have a good, local show again.

Washed up the G35 today, good excuse to hit the car wash and do the engine bay too, so much pollen in all the seams and crannies.

Had to go over to the garage today to use my tools to change air filter in the G....my 510 was crying silently, sitting there in the dark...no...wait...maybe that was me.....

This picture is of the things I am bringing to the car show...NOTHING is coming home with me. Some are spoken for but a few giveaways there too. The flags can be separated to lengths.

Bright and early… I’ll be helping Glen park cars today at Pacific Nissan, I’ll look forward to seeing many of the locals. It’s been 3 years since I’ve been to a car show, I’m looking forward to it.

The Bronze will be there, happy to report that the new motor break in went well yesterday, rings seam to be seated fine. It came home last night and got an immediate hot oil change.

Looking forward to seeing some old friends, and maybe seeing some new faces as well today.

Morning World!

Hope everyone had a great day yesterday!

I must admit it was a mixed bag for me, so hard to drive in…..NOT in my 510.

To see the gang together was fantastic, 3 years for most of us. So good to reminisce about the good ole’ days and make some future plans for a summer drive and other things.

A great mix of cars as you can see, some a work in progress.

I did manage to only come home with Rob’s bits he requested, as he could not make it. The flags went to Byron as he has most of the old 510 Club show things, so good they have gone there for the future.

I had a funny moment in talking with two of the original gang, having to pause the conversation to say……” We are NOT talking about the latest camshaft grind or carb setup, but….our HEALTH journeys!” A sign of we are an aging group and the reality of life as it progresses. Heart issues seemed to be a biggy!

The weather co-operated for the most part, a light rain shower mid morning and cool till the sun finally popped through the dark clouds. For a moment I thought this would be a repeat of Canby…rain…wipe car down….rain…wipe car down…rain…wipe car down. Byron will remember that day.

I left about 1 Pm, hoping to beat any heavy Sunday traffic through Cloverdale. It was busy but not like in rush hour. I hit the Chevron station in White Rock to fill the G. I have been a bit worried my fuel gauge has maybe become a bit inaccurate so I wanted to TOTALLY fill the tank to the top. Next to the Chevron, in the Save-On-Food lot, was a huge car show going on. 91 octane was 2.24 litre.

Big thanks to Glen at West Coast Nissan for having us in his parking lot, couldn’t have been a better day.

And of course this picture of the incredibly rare, experimental, straight 12 valve cover Nissan was working on. It would of course require significant removal of fire wall and dash, and, require a shift to the passenger side so the headers would clear the driver. Minor detail!
