Hood Vents

Post by jeffball610 »

I'm reluctantly looking to add some hood vents to my car. This is not a choice for aesthetics, but rather function. That being said, I'd still like them to look nice. I've seen a few cars with hood vents, but many of them are over the top. Right now I have a cheap set of "Focus RS" vents that I think look okay and are fairly subtle. Does anyone else have ideas?

The '71 510 Coupe had fake vents not too unlike those.... viewtopic.php?t=26180 quarter way down.

They must have been a Japanese only option and quite rare. I don't believe I've ever seen them on a car before. I did see some nice louvers on an old Celica or Subaru. I'll have to find the pics. Not exactly what I'm looking for, but they were subtle and functional.

Here's a Subaru DL https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&url=htt ... AdAAAAABAE
The Subaru Brat also had some small louvers.
The Celica units stick out a bit, but they're still subtle to me in many ways.
