I would be interested if anyone else has ever seen these?

I will keep them to go to a rally enthusiast.

Hi Keith, I thought you would appreciate these pictures. The car making the big splash is my father (navigator with Team Datsun Canada at the time) in November 1981 near Peterborough Ont, in the Rally of the Tall Pines. The splash was the best one of the day, so it was selected for the poster. The #1 Team Datsun car of Randy Black made the magazine cover.

Hey Jason, good to hear from you.

I am a bit aways from getting to my steamer trunk, with a ton of other collectible's, of which the Heavy Metal are there. AS these are the early ones, I will put a bit of monetary value to them, they are MINT. The art work as I'm sure you are aware of is amazing and so many of the great visionary artists of the time did work in the magazine, H.R. GIGER being one of them, designer of the Alien stuff. Won't be much! Some are "worth" 40.00 bucks...and I get you have to find a buyer.

I have the manuals, that are in excellent condition and they MUST go! They are heavy and are of no use to me, cannot even remember where they came from. If I hear from no one locally..by weeks end....gone! I do deliveries.

Those are great photos! That is very cool that your dad did that! I have a book that I will look into and see if he is mentioned!

It is actually coming up in the pile as I go through it, GREAT history of Motorsport in Canada!

I did a bit of rallying in the 70's, but, more as a worker, following the rallymaster to set up checkpoints in the middle of the night, great fun. One of the most memorable rallys here in B.C., was called the BLUNDERBUSS, started at the Loughheed mall at 4;00 PM, crossed the Border, and ran all through the backroads of Washington and finishing at Denny's in Blaine at 7:00 AM.

Found Knox Mountain programs.

Dave Christie was one of my main killer competitors during the Solo Wars of the 90's

I have a handful of these 5 & Dime newsletters, if anyone would like them.

Interesting the Westwood Carousel shot was by Noel Koehn, founder of the 510 Cub of B.C.

and, the photo of Greg Terry's 510, who unfortunately passed away in 2010. Byron is doing the memorial build in his honour.

Got well into Tub...whatever....lots of event related stuff, even the Program for the Bellingham Gran Prix a few of us ran through the streets of old downtown Bellingham, that was fun, thousands of spectators.

A copy of Western Driver for the Auto Enthusiast, Sept. 2001 Lots of events covered, and, a bonus article written by our own ART HUGHES!

Also, I choked when I saw this ad with Dave Doan in it. Too funny, he had the 4th or 5th clone of the Specialty cars with the air dam, I think Cam on the Island was the last.

Good blast from the past.

At the bottom of the tub are the wonderful 510 Club Calenders that Richard Norrish did, what a glimpse back in time to some spectacular 510s.

I will scan in: The 2010 510 Club of B.C 20 year retrospective tomorrow, great pics

I got out today for a walk/push with my wife at Campbell Valley park, where the trail had not many people on it. I see on the news tonight...EVERYTHING in the way of Parks are going to be closed for the long weekend...holy crap, what a hit.

Your really finding some gold Keith, cool.

Yeah the parks closing is a big thing, daughter and I have been trying to walk every day, it’s getting tougher to find spots without a ton of people even in Glenn Valley :(

ALL of White Rock promenade to be shut down, no parking, no stores, no food, death knell for the waterfront.

I hope to hit Boundary bay park and ride to Specialty, we will see, either tomorrow or Friday.

Funny though, First Nations can do what the hell they want, their parking lot open..for free...so Cannabis store can get customers.......anybody need anything...?

Morning World, I hope everyone is well out there!

As promised, and we all like pictures, here is the 2010 Calendar.

Went out to Langley yesterday with my son, to go to Best Buy. Totally weird, NO ONE allowed in, other than to go to the door to pick up product ordered online. They had a pay machine just inside door, 1 person at a time. Sidewalk marker with spacing tape, just looked strange. Across the street looked like Home Depot doing the same.

It hit me yesterday too, as I still get the Peace arch News to my mail box, it was filled with all the spring sale flyers. Now, with so many restrictions, people not supposed to travel, holiday places closed...the amount of product that will sit in stores will be staggering, which to me says there maybe some major blow-out sales later in the season. I just look at my family constellation, we have cancelled our trip to the Island to camp, same with Manning Park at this point. Matt and I will be lucky if we can get into the back country with the Tracker, at least we are set up for that.

The cover page was my brand new 1972 wagon, in 1972, parked in the Black Tusk parking lot, between Squamish and Whistler.

The picture of Don Nimi is in the Specialty Engineering built tube frame 510, originally commissioned by another customer. I believe Don still has that car sitting in his garage, not moved since the engine blew in the 90's.

I wish this stupid program would put pictures in order from top down, not bottom up.
