I don't think the turn out issue is as much the early start as it is lack of knowing the event is happening. I have missed them all because I just had no idea it was happening. Forums are not as active as they once were.. back the non Facebook days... Damn kids and their social media!! Get off my lawn!!! so being posted only here may limit the visibility of the event.

I am in for a drive sometime soon. I have always liked the early starts. It is way more fun without some slow poke in front of us. That being said it would also be nice to be able to sleep at home and catch the first ferry in.
I am going to be taking the car off the road in November I think so start on a new project that will probably take a few months to get done.

If no one from the future comes back to stop you from doing it then how bad of a decision can it really be?

just did the spences bridge route today, left at 11am got back at 7:15 pm. the top of the coke has a trace of snow. road is salted and clear. canyon has road work going on in a few spots.

As I have never been on, nor do I plan too, be on social media, this is the place I have ALWAYS posted up, so if any new people do not know to check this site.......
The "old guard" are very much the only ones that ever come out anyhow for years now and I'm ok with that.

I was checking out my favorite camera sites today and this camera picture is up in the mountain area where Matt and I go..and....
That road below is one of the routes we did on our drives a few years a go. That is Lillooet kind of in the middle of the picture, the Fraser River, and to the right the beginning of the Bridge River Valley.
Lots of winter snow up there now.
