Great fix on shortening the car a few feet. I was expecting that the bump a hair farther down track got it. That wall has claimed a lot of cars!

There is a bunch of in car footage from the race at the ridge on the youtube channel. Such a fun track!!! I like ORP the best but we aren't racing there this year.

There are more videos on our youtube channel if anyone is bored and wants to watch it go around the track for hours.

Fun race weekend!! A little smokey but overall a blast!! We've changed a few things since last race. Another 71C transmission haha. The SR is on year 3 of spending it's race weekends at redline. I can't believe this engine. We just ring it for hours and hours and it doesn't burn oil or leak or care how we treat it!! We got bumped the B class for the full weekend. We were in C for the last couple years. Driving better and fine tunning the car has paid off. I don't know if any of you guys have raced the Ridge in Shelton but if you have I finally took turn 1 at full speed which is about 108 in our car. Just lift the 50% throttle and hold on! Wow I would catch some fast cars doing that. I did fly off into the dirt once for the first time in 3 years. Another change for our car was going from a 2 turn lock to lock steering rack to a 2.5 turn lock to lock rack. Wow so much better! We did it because we somehow killed our inner and outer tie rod. We are thinking maybe it's because that's the side that hit the wall in Seattle. Luckily for us JRock lives pretty close and let us use his extra rack and we will just order him a replacement. It was still nice and fast but the steering was a lot lighter. Making it easier to drive at full grip levels. We messed with tow settings. We had a ton of rear tow 5/8 inch we did some mods and got it to stock tow thinking it would help our straightaway speed. We bumped it to stock tow settings which wasn't enough. 1/4 total was the sweetgoogamoo spot for our car. The wing helped too. The back area through turn 5 you could hold the throttle flat without the wing you coldn't. We almost made it the full weekend until we lost a drive shaft U-joint. Which we normally bring an extra drive shaft.... O well. There was only an hour left.

Looks like lots of fun, other than the smoke.

Jeff... where did that whale tail come from.

Just curious as it looks eerily similar to this car, a photo I took at Westwood Raceway when I was in high school in the 80’s...
Sorry for the picture of a photo quality, this photos an actual old school album type - god what ever happened to those...

The car ran during an enduro race in a thanksgiving weekend, and then I saw it once more in the parking lot, when I took these photos. I never saw the car again. But dam that looks like the exact wing .... 30 years later.

NO WAY!!!! Yeah that's gotta be the same tail. Since it has the same ACCURATE logo and everything. It's back living it's life on an enduro car!

It came off a two door Carter bought. The PO owned the car for 13 years or so and somewhere along the road he picked up the wing. Carter pulled it because in his words "ugliest wing ever" Then he brought it over to take photos of it on our racecar so he could list it for sale. Me and Sam said if it's going on it has to stay!

Wonder if that car still had this fibreglass work on the front end? You’d have to remember that!

Cool, something still lives some 30 years on. I’ll bet there’s a bigger story, someone out there knows.

That’s a pretty cool comparison you put together of the three of you.
