Eh Cam, hope all is well with you.

We are making the most of out holiday Monday today :-) Actually this is a great event, and because it is short in duration, it's usually easy to attend. That with our family dinning is most often on the Sunday anyways, so attending is generally easy.

Keith had mentioned that with the weather holding out, maybe we'll do one more drive this year of our own. Fingers crossed that it happens and that I'll be free to attend.

Missed yah Norm.

It was with GREAT RESTRAINT that I drove the Sea to Sky today, that killer competitive instinct starts to kick in,
I saw a sea of cars and envisioned a 200 car road race to the Gondola. Coming back was another Corvette, an Audi something or other and numerous other so called fast cars that wimp out once the g-force starts to build on the s-curves. BUT...I was good, as the police car sitting behind the flat deck truck with a car on the back was the wake-up call, not that I needed one. Even Byron thought I was going to unleash it going up the Furry Creek hill.

Of all the cars there, I would say DATSUN was the most represented, I think there were at least 9 to 10 there.

Winthrop is the only way to go and after that drive, I was kinda ok to just flow along. Really cool morning, glad I dressed warmly. Major HP morning too, really dense cool air. I only saw 53F as my intake temp. Tires were cold though, could not get traction 2nd to 4th when I rowed it through the box to do the u-turn at Cheackamus Road.

That's it for me this season, I will do a recap later. Time to change the oil and some pre winter maintenance. I have some projects over the winter, install my high capacity diff cover and hopefully get our headlight project done.

Pictures to follow after some hot coffee and a walk in the sun along the White Rock promenade, a gorgeous fall day if ever there was one.

Hey Guys,

Just wanted to stop in and say thanks for joining us! Didn't get a chance to talk to all of you, but I do love the cars you brought!

Cheers,

Dave, I've been joining this event in a couple of different 510's over the past 6 years and I have to say it's such a great little gathering due to the eclectic cross section of machinery that shows up every year. This year being dry just saw a whole lot more of it! But even in years where rain is prevalent, I admire those who bring out some pretty rare and unique machinery to this event - representing makes and models from the first half of the 20th century to near present day. Where else do we get a chance to see this not just in a static form in a park, but where cars are actually being driven as they were intended.

Thank so much for hosting and organizing this event year after year. It's quite a pleasure to join in.

Byron
