I didn't even think of redrilling my plates to use the existing holes....Master Of the Obvious!

Guys, thanks so much for showing me how you handled this on your cars.

Defdes, the step by step photos are worth, well, a few thousand words I guess. Keith, I'd seen a more distant photo somewhere else of your installation but couldn't see the detail of the mounting-holes. Again, your photo helps a lot. And Julian, yes the structural integrity of the area is also part of my concern. If I can work out a way to use the original 3 mounting-holes (as Keith did), cutting as little as possible (as Defdes' work shows), I think it'll turn out well.

There is pretty much the same amount of tower removal for either of our installs, but drilling the plates to match the tower rather than the other way around is certainly less work...hindsight (and Keith's photos) is 20/20.

Keith's example, given the hard miles on the car, suggest that any strength lost may not be an issue. It will be a fact simply because of the removal of the radiused lip, however it just may not matter.

If you were worried about it, you could get Matt to CNC you a pair of top plates in steel which you could weld to the strut towers. But, again, it doesn't appear to be an issue.
