that would be a long coil wire and a lot of tape to undue to reroute the coil feed from the old regulator box. I shortened the switched BW coil feed wire near the alt and ran it through the stock regulator plug and up to one of four hidden relays inside the stock regulator box on the front passenger side strut tower. from the relay the coil feed travles back throw the plug proceeding in a stock manner to the coil by way of a mostly silver way overkill 14ga wire used in the old 600v bc transit trolley buses. the headlights pump and fan are the other relays inside the reg boxgoichi1 wrote:....Or hide it inside the car.

That's funny...we should have a spoiler alert on here.
That colour combo would be ok, NOT a bright silver though.

what brand of the oem sealed beams ?
haven't painted that coil yet, still not sure on colour. so in the mean time
can you guys confirm the brand of the oem sealed beams for a 68 canadian 510 ?
were they toshiba, koito, wagner canada, philips ,ge
the plan is to use a diamond tip hole saw to cut the filament out. then glue on a h1/h4 bulb receiver....I still have a few sets of 90/130s

Both of my 68s had at least 2 Toshiba lamps. But who knows if they were original.

so.... no one has a lamp ?
plugging away slowly, waiting on the headliner guy. cut more 3/4in ply templates, got the rear parcel shelf gas tank cover, spare tire, kick pan, 2dr cards, 4dr cards, wagon cards, center console and designed a new long console to work with the long shaft dogleg....its over 3ft long I will use the router to turn out some abs over the next week. I also finished off the templates for the trunk finishers now I just need to collect fasteners and figure out a way of securing with out drilling into the body.

I'll leave a note for myself to check the parts bins for a Toshiba low/high tomorrow.

sometimes it feels like tomorrow will never come
still working on a center console. I start out in cardboard, get it ruffed out, transfer to paper then to wood. I then use a jigsaw to cut out the 3/4 ply template then use a router to cut out the abs. it took four kicks at the can to get the gauge cluster / foot fryer redirector with its bends bent up right. it still needs to be trimmed, covered in leather and some veneer or stainless down the middle.
thought?

Re: 68 CDN going to be all like JDM yo!
It's starting to take shape. Just looks like it needs a bit of refinement to me.
If no one from the future comes back to stop you from doing it then how bad of a decision can it really be?
