taking this sketch for part #, the inner GRW-116 is 1.25" inner & 2.75" outer, width .6875.. outer GRW-117 width is 8646" with same diameters..

so i am wondering if the stock 280z stuff is 32mm?? and it has a bigger hub than 510 too.. 62mm vs 70mm..

link shows a pretty detailed tutorial on how to change out wheel bearings too..

The 280z stubs have 27 splines vs the stock 510 25 spline stub axle (the bearings are the same size so I think they are physically the same size less the spline count and companion flanges). I have 280z stub axles to install once I break the stock 510 units.

Ive been running low 12's this year with a personal best of 12.07 @ 124 with the stock outer stubs, halfshafts, and r160 LSD.

Here is a vid of the 12.07 so you can get an idea of how I launch the car:

Side note:

I did break an outer stub last year clicking off much slower times. I raised the ride height so the halfshafts are straigt under load, changed the tires to nitto nt01 225's, and used a stiffer rear coilover spring (250lb) to help (In my mind) prevent wheel hop.

These changes in addition to a fresh diff fluid change probably helped everything stay together for multiple passes this year.
