Been trying to find some history on it but haven't had much luck. If anybody knows a good way to get this I would really appreciate it. All I can tell is that it may have come to bc in 83 as that is what the VI sticker is dated. Believe it was an American car.

My 70 2dr isn't the oldest but I recently made a cool connection learned a bit about it's early life.

Manufactured 05/70.PL510-165489

Last week I was digging through a pile of shop manuals and found the original warranty book and owners warranty card. The name and address of the original owner were listed. The car was sold by David Motors in Victoria. I did a quick search online and found that, sadly, the original owner had passed away earlier this year. Her obituary listed a handful of nieces and nephews. I found one of the nieces on Linked In and sent her a quick note to let her know that I had the car and it was being rebuilt. The next day I received a call from the original owner's nephew who had also owned the car for a period.

He owned the car until about 25 years ago. Said he kept it fairly stock and it was in great shape at the time. At some point he took it to Specialty Engineering and had a 2 liter installed and suspension lowered. He always regretted selling it and had been looking for the car on and off for years. He was stoked to hear that it was still around, although he was a bit disappointed to see how far it had fallen into disrepair. He is currently looking for photos of the car from it's earliest years.

We just imported a 1968 1300DX Bluebird 4dr from Japan. The one djlotus mentions above.
VIN # is 510 000763
No Alpha prefix.

I'd love to find out where this fits in with the order of production.

Wagons begin at 8xx xxx, so 2748 is still pretty low down in production.

My oldest is a 70 Sedan I got from an old lady, she kept it in an old barn. A real barn find. When she finally sold it to me I noticed she had cut all of the seat belts out of it. She is a beautiful Sedan.
