Say, I'm doing something similar to my L20B and have a question.

Do you have a clearance problem between the rear most carb and the bleed nipples of the master cylinder? Can you get velocity stacks and/or a K&N air filters on the rear carb? I cannot get a short K&N filter on the rear carb because the bleed nipple sticks past the filter element so I can't install the cover. So I am looking for a 3/4, 15/16, or 7/8 master cylinder (for front disc brakes) with the bleed nipples on the outboard side. I have the same Cannon manifold, isolaters and Weber DCOE carbs.

Plus, I am converting the goofy push/pull rod linkage to a cable. I got a 240SX pedal from ebay and new cable from Nissan. The bracket holding the cable on the front carb is just a prototype. Had to fabricate an adapter plate to move the pedal mounting up 3/4" from the stock location to get the cable end and pedal rod to line up. Then had to put in a longer bolt for the pedal stop. All prototype 'cause it needs to be beefed up a bit. And I think I may have to bend/straighten the gas pedal rod a bit to move the gas pedal further from the brake pedal and down. Although it seems ok as is for a heal/toe maneuver. We shall see once I get it running.

You could cut the nipple off right after the nut and then make a little wedge for where the master cylinder bolts to the fire wall. Doesn't have to be much, just enough to swing it outa the way. The plunger for the master will be fine for a little 1/8" wedge. I think I made mine from a chunk of cardboard.

In addition to what James suggests, you may also want to dimple the air filter cover by placing it on the end of a socket to create an inward dimple with a ball peen hammer. Sorry no pictures, last time I did this was around 1986.

Stock with an auto(for now). Though a sleeper would be sweet.

Looks like you have a ton of clearance. Are you going to mount a K&N filter? Also, I see your MC has the nipples on the outboard side. Can you tell me the MC brand and size?
