Feb 08 Modified Mag Article

Post by jeffball610 »

I don't know if anyone has posted this yet (just did a quick search), but Jason Weaver and Primarily Japanese (not sure if their affiliated with the 510 realm) got their KA24DE swapped '69 510 in the Feb. O8 issue of Modified Magazine. Pretty sweet ride, but I can't stand the color. (VW Yellow) There's also a 3S swapped AE86 for the Toyota fans out there as well.

I don't care for the lip either, and that's a complete turn-around for me. When I first started my 510 project, that's the lip I wanted. Now I think that only the BRE-style lip looks right, funny how tasts change.

Every time a national magazine features a 510, the market value of our cars goes up a few cents.

Looks like my old Rotary 510....even the roll bar. I had TSW EVO'S on it and or 13x7 libra's back in the day.

The color on my old 510 was 1992 mr2 yellow.

Hey, my son and I seen the article at the magazine rack last night. My 10 year old pointed out to me that the 69 front side marker lights where mounted backwards and upside down on that car. I thought it was pretty funny myself.

Funny, that is the exact same color that my yellow car is (Painted it in 1992)

I noticed the markers being backwards too... how do you get that wrong?

I alos noticed that there aren't any good shots of the dash, does the knee bar run across the front of it?
