I purchased a 510 a month ago. I found out it has a L20B. The car is a 72 2-door. I am wondering if anybody can tell me if this is a stock engine for that year or where this engine came from if it was swapped in at one time.
I know almost nothing about the history of this car so any info would be appreciated.

My 510 - Finally got it home
The L20B is probobly the most common swap, J.
It is not a stock motor, and it produces (about 20hp more) than the L16, which is the stock motor for your 510. It doesn't rev as high as the L16, but that's ok. If you get used to driving with the L20B, you'll be surprised we all lived with L16's at one time.
Have fun in your dime. Post some pictures, too!
