I checked that link but it doesnt go into month of production..

my car @142000 says 2/70 on door tag . but icbc called it a 71.. ( that's our government controlled insurance and title co . for those south)
did it take that long to get here lol

Mike, I have a '70 that I believe starts with 12xxxx, so I can check that for you. It's my B sedan car, so I hope it still has the plate.

That 2/'70 car should not have been a '71.

I agree. but this car was a racecar since new and the handwritten title had 1971 so when I titled it again I didn't look at production date on pillar I went off the paperwork.

no one's ever driven this on the street since 1970..

My '70 is 123139 and build month 10/69 if that gets you any closer.

Being that there are not many of us older persons left on this site....that REMEMBER the threads we have had...

Here is a list from one of those threads. It has gone by the wayside, to bad, it was filling in lots of holes in the production of our cars.

This was from the time I was getting engine bay tags made and you just had to stamp your serial number in and engine number.

I wonder if they still have my account on file?

As I have been putting my "race" binder finally together,30 years of racing, I have my original receipt from Valley Datsun for my 1969 Wagon SERIAL NUMBER WPL510 831577, purchased on Sept 27, 1969 for : $2,734.75 CND out the door.

I just noticed a mistake on my info. It should be 03 for the month not 01.

Too bad we did not keep going with this at the time, might have quite the reference data base now. 2017 was when Byron last updated.

I've got a 2/70 that's in the 146000 area..

I get July '69 as start of the '70 model year. Chassis number 095,000 start
I get August '70 as start of the '71 model year. Chassis number 200,011

That's 105,011 made in '70. Or 8750 per month.
That puts 127,300 as the 32,300th made since July. At 8750 per month that would place the 127,300 near the last week of October. Bound to be some slight production variances so late Oct early Nov.'69?

This is not meant to be accurate, just ball park and it seems like it is. If this was a 720 I have production numbers by the month for all models.

IceD is listed as 123,157 and 10'69 so I get first week of OCT. So it fits.
