There three part numbers for the turn/headlamp switch with the last two (distinction number showing similarity) as 00, 01 and 05. As no dates are given it can safely be assumed that they are all the same

25540-U8800 only used on the A10... no price displayed
25540-U8801* which is used on the 07-'78-02-'79 or the first 8 months of the '79 280zx model year and the 810 till 03 '79.
25540-U8805* used on the 810 from 03 '79 on.

*part number likely changed because it was shared with the 810 and the 280zx. Both were about $200 at dealer.

Try a want ad for the A10 and the 810/280zx years shown.

I always liked the looks of the A10.

Thank you! This is my first import project car, I've always been an old truck and muscle car kind of guy. Never 100% brand loyal, being I'm a car guy and appreciate a broad spectrum of vehicles.
I got lucky with how clean this car is, it is perfectly straight, and has zero rust from what I've found by crawling over/under it. The other day I dug all of the paperwork out of it and found; the original window sales sticker (sold in Charleston S.C.), the original sales paperwork and receipts, all of the registration/inspection papers, a stack about 4-5" thick of maintenance paperwork, and a pair of 1960's American Optical glasses! I gave the glasses back to my buddy being they were his grandfathers.
It was extremely well maintained and regularly serviced car. It's had all kinds of work done to it to keep it in good order. Like tuneups, tire, brakes, fluid changes, clutch, flywheel, and a multitude of maintenance.
I was originally told his cousin bought it and sold it to his grandfather in 1988, but his grandfather bought it and let them use it until he brought it to Arkansas in 1988. After I found the names on the sales records, I asked for detailed story. So it is a 1 registered owner car.
So I absolutely have to get it 100% lined out and back on the road where it belongs.
That's why I joined this forum, to reach out for information to do so, and keep it as clean as I can. I feel that I am in the right spot because you all are very knowledgeable, so I thank everyone again in sharing that.

You can't see it, but it also has a luggage rack on the roof! Which I absolutely love!
