Instrument housing for sale and more

Post by bertvorgon »

As I purge my basement I have found this housing, with a gauge mounting pod I made for an exhaust temperature gauge.

It is only siliconed in, so It could be removed, or, modified to take a temp/pressure/boost gauge.

I could also supply a brand new exhaust temp gauge that a club member had ordered from me, then never took it. The exhaust gauge is of high quality industrial grade.

Make me an offer if interested, and, we can negotiate for the exhaust temp gauge too. No sense any of this having another birthday in my basement!

I will be posting up some DATSUN emblems and a few other things soon.

Nice! Looks like a nice clean headlight/wiper chrome bezel & has the steering column filler piece (triangular) that is often missing, cuz the tabs would break!

Thanks, other than some dust, it is in very good shape. I always used Armor All in the early days, and then more modern plastic treatment(s).

I made it into Box #8, 4 more to go.

Here are the badges, a shift knob, a radio delete panel and a lockset, of which I
have no idea what it fits. I have a friend in Whitehorse who was a locksmith, and
he sent this to me many years ago.

I may keep one of the front grill badges to maybe put BACK on my car. May have to work at the threaded
screws on the back, they have suffered age.

The pins on the fender/trunk badges are there to the best on my knowledge, plating is in fantastic shape.
I sealed them in the bag 20 years ago. Funny story where they came from....

Anybody interested in LIFE magazines from the 50's and 60's, what a slice of history for any buff. Kennedy assassination tribute, Cuban Missile crisis, Vietnam war ramping up, DNA discovered, and, one issue from April 15, 1940 telling of the Battle of the River Plate, plus other conflicts. Just pretty cool to read all these. 100.00 bucks for all. Car ads are pretty neat too.

Wait till I get into my comics....Capt. Marvel.....some Big Little Books from the 30's.

Look like Box 9 has all my Pyro stuff in it, I will post up the NEW Pryo I have and maybe 2 used ones, when I changed to a different readout for the ones in my car now.

To be continued.

Here is the picture of the backside of the one I will send you, as stated.

50 years has not been kind on these small threads. The one I am keeping they are totally
busted right at the base of the thread. Epoxy/JB weld..here we come.

Add the shift knob to my held parts please Keith. I'm not 100% sure I can make it work with the SR20 transmission, but I'd be a bit surprised if I can't and it's kinda retro classic like the rest of my build.

PM me if timing is an issue. I do need to get over there at some point, but also happy to work out shipping or pickup from a friend or such.
Regards,
Owen
