Morning World,
I spent Sunday again helping the Specialty gang, Saturday had a small crack show up on the Miata oil cooler. They packed up, back to the shop, Andy had a spare and in late evening were back out at the track for Sundays races.
Tracey ran a personal qualifying and lap best of 1:09:6, putting her on the pole.
Due to a missing announcer person, she and many others missed the 5 minute call in pre-grid and she was put in the back of the pack along with others.
After blazing through much slower traffic and one of the other faster cars getting rear-ended by someone NOT paying attention, Tracey placed 2nd in the race.
Car ran well other than a broken windshield.
Byron 510, Paul BMW 2002 and Phil CORTINA GT had some great racing, Byron's car seemed to be running just fine.
Wow was that a hot day, we all were pretty nackered at days end, temp in the 90's.
I had a nice chat with KEES NIEROP, whom I ran with at the Knox Mountain hillclimb. He was driving his vintage 240Z. Kees won the 12 hours of Sebring in 1983 and was a factory driver for Porsche. He has quite the history.
Next race is August 19/20 and possibly a bit of a reunion of some of us slalomers/racers from the 70's and 80's. We will see.

Do you have any pictures of the wide body 240z next to the other all white Z car #725. That used to be our car in Edmonton that we raced around Western Canada. Reg sold it years ago and I haven't seen it in a long time.

Dave K., as far as we know, the car came from Victoria,B.C., many years ago, previous to that it is unknown. A lot of mechanical work was done in Seattle. I will ask Paul when I see him next.
