Anybody have a front caliper repair kit for a 510?
Or
Know a place that has them in stock, or maybe a similar kit for a different car?

rockauto, datsun garage (i know), z car garage, and a couple more places were OUT OF STOCK.

Unfortunately front brake parts for the 510 have been NLA for quite a while. The z parts are drying up too. Watch ebay - every once in a while someone will list something. There are people on here that probably have kits, or parts. But once you go through your rotors, then you are sunk anyway. Unless you have some custom rotors turned (they can be done - but they aren't cheap)

Take a look at what Rush installed with the small wilwood kit. Probably where I'm headed after this round of brakes.

There has been success at Moss with sizes and configurations from other makes that work/required for roadsters. I've not checked their specs for a 510 application (or one that might be lightly modified to work), but they have kits and individual parts.

As spendy as upgrade kits are, it might be worth it in the long run just so you don't have to scrounge for parts.

I have a set of calipers/rotors/pads over in Lompoc if you want to just swap those in.

What is the OEM Datsun part #? Also get me as many aftermarket part #'s as you can, ie Beck Arnley, VERA, Centric etc, cuz I have LOTS of NOS, but I have not spent the time to research everything I have............only grabbed parts out of the boxes that I recognized!!

Centric - 143.42002

Those are the only two I could find.

I found a web site that can cross reference part numbers but, the part number it spit out when i checked the centric number was for a chevy luv, and they didn't work.

So, I got this kit from Moss Motors. It came with 4 shiny o rings and 4 not so shiny o rings. I'm assuming it's different duro. Anyway, I'll be reassembling the caliper this weekend. I'll post up on how it holds.

Kit seems to be holding. If anyone needs a soft kit for their calipers, I suggest you check this kit out

Also fits the 610 through '74 and the 710 through '75. Pretty common.
