I thought I'd toss in a few pics of the 2nd fender. I polished it up today, along with the door so they're ready for action! For how thrashed the fenders (and doors, really) were I'm very happy with how they turned out. There is no evidence of the bumper holes or the rust repair.

Over 12 hours working in the garage today. I got the cowl and 1/4 windows painted & cleared. Sanding them was awful & my fingers are practically raw but they came out nice and I tackled yet another thing I had been kinda putting off! I was so worried about these windows getting damaged in the garage before I could get to them that it's really a relief to have them finished so I can install them where they'll be safe!
I also installed my new side marker lights on the freshly painted fenders. They look so nice!
I need a nap.

Finished is better than perfect......

Thanks, James! It's getting kinda exciting!
Today, I got my hood ready for paint. I did the bottom side over the summer so that's ready, I just have the top side left. There were a lot of gouges in the metal that needed sanding but they filled in nicely with 2 coats of primer. Just a tiny bit of bodywork needed to be done, thankfully so it's all blocked & ready to rock! I'll sand it with 600 tomorrow & it should be ready for paint!
After the hood is finished, my car will be about halfway painted! Crazy! I might actually have to buy license plates for this thing!

Great job Rush. I can’t wait to see it all painted.

Thanks, Ron! That makes two of us! I got all giddy yesterday when I put the quarter windows in. Lol!

I'm outsourcing some of the work you are able to do yourself... but exciting to see your progress and motivating to me that when mine goes for paint, it will be great!
I love the 510 orange you are doing. If I didn't have the colour stamp on my grill showing that my car was originally red, I'd definitely be doing that colour.

Thanks! It’s such an odd color, I love it. Orange is my favorite color so for me it had to be done!
