I have a DAMAGED Motorsports CLOSE ratio 2.906/1.902/1.308/1.00/.864 that has been in storage for at least 35 years. I got it from an estate (RIP Brian) with a 510 & a load of parts. We opened it up for a visual inspection (I could "feel" an issue in rotation), I do know that the 1st-2nd slide hub & shift fork are destroyed, but if I was to venture a GUESS, it was on a launch (he was a pro rally racer in the 70's-early 80's) because upon initial visual inspection, we saw no other damage.............NO guarantees, cuz we did NOT disassemble it, but pretty clean. It did NOT appear that the pieces got tossed around to damage other parts.

I know it's a long way from Toronto, however there is one available near Melbourne, Australia....anything is possible, it's just money.

HA!! I didn't know it was a Comp trans until I got it back here to Colorado! I knew something was amiss, when it did not rotate smoothly, so we opened it up............yup 1-2 shift parts destroyed! Great parts trans, but is rebuildable if you can find the Comp specific parts!

Estimate of what $$$ you want for what you have ? I'm interested even though it's broken.
