So, I have had my 510 for 20 years. Early in 2015 started a major rebuild. Late 2015 had a stroke! I sur-vived but had a bit limited mobility, found it really hard to work on the Dime. My wife and i would work in it together. Jump to 2017, i lost her. So it now sits about 95% done, and the only way to finish it is to pay someone. After investing over 50,000.00 i really don't have the funds.
I had it stripped to bare metal, painted Pearl Yellow, hood and trunk is Pearl Black, along with Valence and Air Damn.
An air brush artist was hired to Do BRE stripes and Faux 3D rear vents.
I managed to get a friends shop to put in a KA-24 fresh engine, mated to a NAPZ transmision, 3:70 LSD ,
To be finished , WIring connections to dash, Wire harness to motor, Some interior bits. All wires ran to locations, some connections to dash done already.
Sway Bar needs blocks to lower it. and Belly pan reinstalled

Modified head . with Colt Cams , intended to run car for a year and then put this head on. Needs Cam spacers still.

interior changes I was going to do, leather or suede on center sections of seats. But otherwise in great shape currently with blue material.
And Leather socks for over rear tweeter towers. I have a lady that does this.

Hey Andrew,

Sorry for your loss and your own health issue. Having spent the last 2 years dealing with some things, curves that life throws at us, we have to make tough decisions at times.

Good luck with sale, that will be a nice, almost done project for someone.

Just curious what is the yellow cylinder on the side of the roof rack? Also how did you mount the roof rack? Have not seen that before.

The cylinder is a Swamp cooler (Vintage AC unit)
The Roof rack is custom built to clamp on the Rain channel, had about 3 versions before we got one to fit

thanks Keith, when things get back to normal, I will come to the meets. Eric will be taking the Dime to Maple Ridge where his dad has a shop to finish. The to Comox to Live, he will be a great Participent in The 510 group. We spent almost 3 hours last night going over the car, and dinner at local pub. His dad is a 510 guy from the 70's . They are both stoked to get it on the road.
