Someone will ask...

Is it an early head or a late head?

Also, pictures. We love pictures (oics?) of cool parts.

adding pictures is not intuitive?? I agree 100%.

put some text into the text box, then click 'full editor & preview"

just below the text box there are two tabs. one says options, one says attachments. click the attachments tab. click add files.

it should be intuitive from that point forward.

That is unless you have to resize the pictures....
If no one from the future comes back to stop you from doing it then how bad of a decision can it really be?

i dont think you really need pics here as now you have said its an early head _ which i think means the massive ports.. as they got smaller when they realized they were too big to work at a reasonable Rpm..

if someone wants this since you havent listed an intake manifold - they would already have to have that part of the package and be building a 2200cc + motor? to make it run ok..

correct me if im wrong but i was under the assumption that the head must be used with FIA intake and likely 48 to 50mm carbs or injector bodies.

has anyone successfully used a FIA head on a L series in the past 15 years? and by successful i mean it is making more useable HP than a ported rebello head.

i actually know of another one for sale not sure if early or late- but has the intake and 50s with it. BUT i dont know what motor would work well - I thought about calling Rebello since he build a L16 drysump motor for me in the past to see if there is anyway to use this FIA head on a vintage racecar..

Yes, the FIA heads require the FIA intake manifold, and the manifolds are designed for use with 48/50mm carbs!

Bill will likely sell this head to another racer, cuz yes, they are best suited for higher rpm's! Old buddy Eric Jones out of Columbus OH ran them in Pro Rally back in the late 70's-80's, said nothing low end, barely get out of the paddock area kickin' & buckin' & snortin', but massive grunt at the upper rev band!

We have a local guy here in Denver that built an L20B stroker, with an FIA head, for use in a hot street 510. Project NOT completed yet, but he is goin' for it!!
