Jim at Overseas Auto has a selection of Weber throttle assemblies. Let him know what you're up against and he should be able to help.

Re: 68 CDN going to be all like JDM yo!
before bolting the carbs and manifold to the L20b, I took a day off work and visited Jim. he took a brief glance and said "you'll dent your hood"....... I asked about jetting: "should I buy extra jets ?" "see if they fit first" ..."what about this linkage ? it seams too sloppy " "should be fine... if they fit" .........
I was expecting to empty the coffers that day, gaskets and O rings, handful of jets, new linkage.....

Sounds like he was trying to save you some money if the whole she-bang didn't work out.

Re: fighting with the goose
the old DGV sat in the corner, resting on a stock manifold, posed to take possession of its former place on the head. If the fight with the goose and its DCOE's ends badly new fuel lines and thermostat bypass lines will need to be made, along with draining the rad .
the battle began on friday with a slow start from wet plugs, once running things were pretty good then the heat got into it and it was down hill. hissing, popping shaking and farting. I added springs, tuned screws nothing seamed to help. cool it down and its ok. friday ended with a headache and co poisoning.
saturday I started from scratch and tore the carbs and linkage apart. the geometry of the linkage was off. after talking it over with Terry the decision to move the rod was made. two 1 1/16in stainless spacer plates did the trick leading to drilling and remounting the stock pivot, shortening the rod and hundreds of other little adjustments.
sunday I tore in to the carbs after hard starts and ruff running . frustrated I started to rip into the carbs. narrowly searing more meat on the 2000deg header, I got the linkage off and to my surprise the throttle shafts on each carb were stiff and binding ......saturday when I had the linkage off and the motor cold the shafts worked fine...... I loosened the nuts and the butterflies worked great. inspection of the washers showed small dents allowing the washer to bind on the body......but it only did it when hot
within minutes of getting everything back together I had her idling smoothly @ 800 and only huffing out a big black cloud when matted.... it has a bit of a stumble (like over rich) around 2000 to 3200
even on this cool morning she came to life with ease and ran smooth
long live the goose neck !

Are you going to install the fancy panel trim, or leave it off? Does it require new holes?

Re: 68 CDN going to be all like JDM yo!
I'd like to install the garnish but it does require drilling. the mounting lip is too narrow to affix with trim tape. the total surface area is too small to support the 14oz finisher.
factory way would be spring clips and trim screws....... I would hate for the spring clips to get all rusty and send red tear streaks down the tail pan.
any suggestions on affixing ?

Maybe check out marine fasteners, they're normally all stainless.

Re: 68 CDN going to be all like JDM yo!
good idea they may have stainless spring clips like the ones on the marker lights. how did you affix your finisher

Re: 68 CDN going to be all like JDM yo!
took advantage of the sun, pulled out my radio flyer then the 68 cdn to get on the carpet. I must say for the cash it was a good buy. however it may find its way into another car...... the gas petal cut was not edged and an inch too far forward...maybe intended for a 092 095 body ? at any rate it was not to the finish I was looking for. check out how far off the seat belt slits were out
mcshagger mentioned he had a wagon with big carbs that would gas soak the plugs over winter hibernation.
the pugs would be so fouled it would not run without new plugs.
well it seams my dual weber L20b it doing the same thing... ran great when parked, months latter fats and bangs.....pull the plugs and their dripping with gas.
new plugs, fired right up, ran smooth and smoked for a bit.... are the carbs draining into the intake and slowly filling the cylinders and if so how do I fix it?

Carpet looks ok from here...as for the slow drain on the carbs - Drive it moar
