WTB, A few rrandom parts for a 71

Post by Button »

Hey guys I am looking for a few random parts for my 71 510.

1) Hood latch assembly (I don't need the cable)
2) Fuse box in decent shape preferably with a cover
3) One of these plastic vent assemblies that covers the heater box, with all the mounts intact. I don't necessarily need the rubber junction pieces

Let me know what you have. I'm in Southern California if it matters.

Thanks.

Chris,

I'm doing an inventory and eventual selling of a bunch of parts for a dear 510 friend that passed away earlier this year. I know he has these parts (and in good condition) but his garage is up in Glendale CA and I'm in San Diego. I'm planning on going up in early May and I can fish this stuff out if you still need it.

Hi Chris; Another option-- if you need this stuff faster, I can probably ship it to you in the next few days. I'm in western Canada but based on a manifold I just shipped to a guy in LA, the cost is really quite reasonable.

Anyway I'll confirm in the morning (for myself as well as you) that I have all these parts and that they're in great shape. Let me know if you're interested, or if Sebastian's timeline is sufficient.

Cheers;
Steve

I've got #3 that I can sell ya. It's in good shape for its age and has all the tabs intact. I'll send you a PM later tonight.

Can't send pics in a PM, so here are some photos of what I've got. All are "unrestored" :) -- but completely intact, nothing missing / bent / mangled. There's a wee bit of surface rust on the metal flap in the heater cover that directs the air-flow up to defrost or down to heat, but that's it. The upper metal cover is excellent. The rest of the stuff just needs a good scrub.

Wow thanks for all the offers guys. SteveEdmonton has what I need so I should be good for now.

Three B's or Dave where are the hood latches on the Futofab site? I looked around but couldn't find them.

Thanks.

The hood latch is under "front end restoration parts", but the link to this page is through "front end sheet metal" which is a bit confusing. At any rate, here is a direct link http://www.futofab.com/index.php?option ... Itemid=111
