Man, if you ever wanted to part with that shift knob, I'd really like it.
I look forward to your build.

Speaking of...you car has/had a dogleg 3-on-the-floor transmission??

Nice. Hawaii wagon on the east coast. Pretty cool.
You can call it the Hula Goon.
Check out our east coast 510 website. www.eastcoastdatsun510.com
We have a great meet every spring. Maybe you can plan on joining us. Lots of NC dimer's come up for it.

Something else that is really cool about your car. It appears to be a factory black car. That's super rare in a 510!

i was thinking of calling her the how-lie since she is on the main land, and the guy i bought the car from said it has a dog leg 5 spd (could be a 3 spd tho)
and its not original black the paint code on the data sheet says its the light purple color
and if ya want the shift knob just pay for shipping and its urs simply pay it foward
ill be cutting up a 93 240sx in the next day or so the entire body harness under engine harness (engine of corse and engine ) will most likely find there way to the 510 ill be pulling i say about 90% of whats not needed from the s13 harness (electric seatbelts the bulk of the heat and ac and audio and most of every thing , keeping fuel pump lights and slight heat depending on how the datsuns are set up not familar with them in the least ).

In that you can get a KA harness running in a 510 with just the engine harness, I'm not sure what you're going to use in the body harness unless you're going to run the SX gauge cluster, etc.
There aren't any dogleg 3-speeds, hence my question. Seems an odd knob to have, but since I also have a 3-speed knob on my 5-speed, I should be the last to talk!

ah ok not sure on any of the history on the car to be honest.
and as for the harness im simply familer with it it will be easyer for me to address issues as they arise if there is a platform that i know, and i plan on running aftermarket gauges since the ones in it do not apear to be in such great condition

VQ 6-speed trans is huge. Requires a lot of cutting, and probably loss of your stock heater core/box. Fancy, though!

Compact electric heaters are available, I had my heater blower go out couple winters ago on the road with my big rig and bought a $30 plug in lighter heater til I got back home to fix it, to my surprise it worked great
