Some of you may already know me. I'm Dave Levinson in Philadelphia, and have been active with Datsun and in particular the 510 since Dad bought our first one in 1968. Within the past 6 years I've really been active again with building 510's and most people on the Bluebird list already know me and my work. Through the years I worked for Datsun, was a member of the original UFO, started by Rex Jennett, and also a member of the Bob Sharp Datsun Owners club. My most recent build was featured on the cover of the Dimequarterly issue 12.1.
My current restoration has already begun to get International recognition on Facebook:

As I have always to do a Tribute build to Bob Sharp and BSR, and have been given the go ahead by Bob Sharp himself, with Scott Coles help to do the restoration in his number 33 livery! I find at this time I'm in need of more help with locating some of the factory parts I'll need for the build, and wanted to reconnect you everyone here on the realm for a bit of assistance with locating the needed items, so the car can be completed by it's projected finish date of August 2013, so it can be driven to the National ZCON event for it's official signing and certificate presentation by Bob Sharp.. I'm still in the process of making up my lists of additional parts at this time and hope that everyone here on the Realm will follow along with us as the restoration is under way! Please visit our Facebook page and don't forget to Check off the LIKE tab for us to help continue to promote the build. Feel free to offer your own comments on FB as well, and don't hesitate to E-mail. Many Thanks to all , Dave Levinson, Family Classic Automotive

Hey Dave, welcome to The Realm. If you can stick your location in your profile, that'll help everyone know where you are once you move beyond this thread.
Good luck with your build. The hardest part might be the paintwork. tycot1 here on The Realm has done the BSR livery on his own car.

Re: Hello Everyone! BSR 510 Tribute Restoration
Thanks everyone for the very nice welcome today! I hope you and your uncle made out well with those NOS parts Mario? I still have a bunch more, but I may be using them myself now that I'm really gearing up my shop! Send me some pics of the car.. I'm in Philadelphia guys, and I'll be posting some of my needs maybe tomorrow as I find some more time.. I'm unpacking more parts tonight that just came today.. I'll certainly be active here on the Realm now that I'm finally geared up.. I've been meaning to come here for some time now, but life gets in the way sometimes.. I've got real good support from Bob Sharp and Scott Coles with my paint needs.. Bob already sent me the color codes, and sent photo's to Scott to digitize for me.. I've got my Pal, Mario Birardi doing the stencils for all the paint work, but we're still about 8 weeks or more away from the paint booth right now.. I'll keep everyone posted here as well as on the Facebook page.. Thanks again everyone!! Dave Levinson
