Calling VG30 experts!
1986 VG 30 out of 300ZX installed into a 510. The motor is hesitant to start, but will sometimes fire right up, sometimes needs a shot of carb cleaner or something. It runs very rough but will run, sometimes cutting off. This is with a computer out of a 200sx.
If we put the computer out of the 300zx in the car, it will start up faster, run noticeably smoother. The only problem is, after a few seconds of running on that computer, it tells the fuel pump to shut down.
Any ideas?
Thank you for any ideas.

Re: Calling VG30 experts!
Update
Problem solved.
We were running the fuel pump straight to ground. The 300 xz computer wants to control the ground through pin 34, it is a shielded wire on the 300.
We hooked up a wire to pin 34 and run it through the fuel pump relay and ZOOM ZOOM!!
So far so good.
Thanks
