I will probably end up going with the SS, seems like a good product, and it's fairly inexpensive. CRUEZ, where are you in NC?

I got the dynamat bulk pack shipped for like $120 on eBay. One kit did the entire floor, driver door and part of passenger door. Works and sounds great!!!

Yes. I bought it on eBay. A place from Florida called Discount Sound. $121 with shipping.

Yeap, I used the Fatmat shit......worked really well for me.....I disnt have any problems other than the ink comes off on your hands when you rub it down  it's really quiet in my car....plus i used a thick mat under the carpet too....like a jute type fiber with foil heat shield....really pliable and easy to install....my ride is nice and quiet when driving.....new window rubber helps alot too,....keeps them from rattling around and reduces wind noise too!

All you guys using dynamat...what did you do after the mat? I noticed Rich used a liner/pad in between. But did you use adhesive on the mat then on the liner and carpet? I'm knee deep in por15ing/Dynamatting/then carpeting right now. Sooo
Por15>Dynamat>spray adhesive>pad/liner>more adhesive>carpet>stems and seeds?

go to homedepot/lowes.
PEEL-N-SEAL (for patching roofs)
Asphalt based, identical to original dyanamat..just not as thick. Best part $8.99 for a 25sq ft roll

A dude who works at a sound shop told me that i should not put dynamat on the inside of the doors because they cause expansion in the paint? Any truth to that? Sounds like BS to me.
Procrastinate now why wait for later ? :)

YOU MEAN "SOUND DEADENING=BAD" RIGHT? YELLING? I'M NOT YELLING.

The one thing that I always wonder about this kind of stuff is what is it going to be like in 10+ years. I know how much people curse the stock sound deadening on the floors and such because it is such a trap for moisture and eventually leads to rust. When I see a car with the whole floor covered in Dynamat I just wonder what is getting trapped under that, and I have pity on the guy who has to tear it all up in the future.

But I guess there really isn't a better way.

No, I just mean asphalt based products in a closed car environment is bad.

I know, I'm just not a big fan of the "dynamat the whole car thing".

Derek, for any trip over 20 minutes in my car, ear plugs are a must. I just got an IPod though, so maybe that will be a good substitute.
