Top hex part snapped off.. actually it must have been damaged yrs ago, since the car has bee waiting for restoration for 40 yrs -'72 510.
Any suggestions for getting the broken off part out. thought of various square screw extractors, but am afraid it may go in too deep and hit the worm gear. Need to get this out, without bits going into box.
Thinking of a dremel cutting bit, cutting a notch just back to the threads, and a large screw driver. Other suggestions?
I have a new plug.
