Once baby boomers die off, prices will plummett ! So will house prices ! The majority of wealth is with baby boomers.
Millenials have nada !
Agree to disagree. First of all, millenials love classic Datsuns/Nissans. VWVortex guys are loving this car. Most are millenials. And many millenials will inherit the money from the baby boomers. There are also plenty of millenials with good jobs who will be able to afford cars like these. There are always people out there with money who will pay a high price for a rare vehicle. It's all about supply and demand.... I think you are trying to convince yourself that these cars will be cheaper for you to buy in the future :D

I agree that the Canada car should have presented the ad with much better photos. And I feel the largest market for the car is in the US so they should have just listed it from the states. I was absolutely planning on buying that one if Josh and I couldn't come to terms on our deal. From the photos, I would imagine the body/paint might be slightly better than mine but it does have wear on the grill/rear c pillar badge, more fading of the carpet, trunk looks worse etc. And this is just from some poor photos so who really knows. And as I stated, it would cost about $2k all in to get that car to VA.

I drove the car to work today so I could take it to my body guy and have him look at it and give his opinion(I will roll over 17k miles on the way home). He restores Porsches and Alfa's so he is the man for the job. He also restored my dads old 510 in 87 and 2 of his 240z's over the last 6 years. I plan to have him fix the small rust areas in the front fenders, fix the dent in the rear door and re-paint that small part of the rocker to rear arch that isn't quite the right color match. He will use single stage and will blend it. He is amazing at making paint look original.

Come on Robb! You have been looking to buy a 510 for so many years now. Prices have doubled or more since you started. Sell the Honda and get a dime before they hit Porsche prices. :P

Robb, the boomers are already dying off. More than a few of the original guard who remained 510 freaks their entire lives have passed away over the last decade. What's happened to 510 prices in the last decade? As David points out, prices have skyrocketed. So, yeah.

Besides all that, 510s are hobby cars, and since when does ROI really factor in? I don't know of anyone who's buying a 510 to time the market and sell at peak 510. We all have and do buy 510s because we want 510s in our lives. You're a Honda guy and that's cool too, but it's not like minter Honda prices haven't risen as well. Supply and demand, and demand has only increased. I don't see any evidence that it will decrease faster than supply.

Brandon's car is immaculate.

Yike!! don't do that, it's messy, smelly and collects everything it comes in contact with and ends up making a sticky pancake type batter under the car that's a BITCH to work around. There are other better means to rust proofing, oiling is old school gook dripped on your driveway you step in and bring into your house.

Yeah, don't worry. I am not touching the underside. This car will never ever see rain, snow or salt. It will rarely even get washed.

Is your old Orange car still available for sale?

I was the guy that proposed to you in the comments on your LS 5 listing on BaT - if being your wife was what it took to own the 510! Haha.

My first photos with the Canon. A friend of mine who is a pro detailer is coming tomorrow morning to spend a few hours polishing the car for cars and coffee this weekend. I did the right side of the hood and it's amazing (cell shot)

It's really just stunning to look at. You could use that car for stock photos and no one would have a clue it didn't come off a showroom floor.
