Re: Trunk Lift gas supports?
Too bad we are not a bit closer. I have a couple extra sets of them hanging in my garage. I have one set from a '69 model that I will be using on my car, and a couple sets from 71 or 72 models. The early cars had a straight torsion rod, while they put a couple of bends in the later models to go around that little vapor tank that mounts under the rear shelf.
Seems like an arrangement similar to a 350Z rear hatch would work for the trunk. I've never seen it done before though.

Re: Trunk Lift gas supports?
Hey Mike, did you ever work out a solution for the trunk gas lifts? I am realizing the location of my fuel cell will interfere with the hinge tension rods. May do some experiments with this. I am assuming some variant of the hood gas lift solution would work. Anyone have a solution, let me know. Thanks.

I would be interested to know as well what would work. Following .72ultraorange wrote: ↑24 May 2022 04:29Hey Mike, did you ever work out a solution for the trunk gas lifts?
