The following photo might be useful too as these fasteners weren't included in the list. I'm certain that not all of these fasteners are original, but they are the ones that came out of the timing cover on my L20b. Apologies for poor depth of field/focus, but it's the best I've got.

Wow, great info......WITH pics!! I have stripped out many 510's (not really these days!) & Z's. Every time, I tossed ALL of the good condition nuts bolts brackets etc in a box, threw away ALL incorrect hardware. Now that I've been at a vintage race shop for the last 5 years, kinda specializing in Z's, we send out a box of hardware for re-plating about once a year. I do sell the hardware, but I have only ever been able to do it by comparison (buyer brings their grungy hardware) or by memory (and that is becoming a l'il questionable these days!). With the values of the 510's going up up up, one of these days someone will publish a restoration guide.............

I want to know where you guys order JIS bolts? I hate how the hardware store bolts have a bigger then normal head.

its frustrating trying to find the right hardware...unless your after thousands of bolts then alibaba has everything you could want.

if your only after a few specific bolts I have a large stock of takeoffs

Last year I bought a bunch of bolts from Overland Metric. They're set up to provide complete kits for Toyota FJ40's.
If you can live without the distinctive head stampings on the Datsun bolts, they do the job nicely. No more hardware store fasteners with oversize heads!
