no spark
no spark
Yes I know all the answers are hear but I have been reading for weeks and still have problems.
I have been putting together bit and parts to a sr20det. Now 2 weeks into making the harness hooking everything up and I have no spark. I have power to everything I have even check the grounds time and time again. I have had the Ignitor chip and ECM hooked to a running car so I know they are good. I know its something I did but I have pulled the harness out of the car now three times went pin to pin and everything is good. I'm pulling my hair out. I also have 2 coil harness 8 coils and yes I have the plugs out even used one of those spark check light. the car harness is hooked up with the relays. I'm at a lost

Well, for something like this, you're going to have to walk us through what you did. A million ways to wire an SR, and about a billion ways to mess something up along the way.

Re: no spark
WOW I just spent 20 minutes typing this out and it dump me so let’s try again
First motor I got had no sensors, harness or ECM. Second motor was disassembled but had all the sensors and harness and ECM. So harness ECM and all sensors is a package deal all but the igniter chip witch I got off e-bay and it’s a Q45 one. I know the chip and ECM are good because we hooked up to a running car (240) with a black top sr20 and it started and ran. So I know its something I did or not did yet that’s the cause. I have even taken all the grounds and hooked them to the negative side of the battery to make sure I was getting a good ground. I have the motor grounded to the chassis also. I do have power 12V to all the coils and if I pull the CAS out and turn it by hand I can hear the injectors clicking. Yes the ground on coil harness is hooked up. HELP if you can

Re: no spark
Do you have spark when turning it over but as soon as you let go of the key it stalls or simply zero at anytime spark?

Re: no spark
Did you connect the orange wire from the ECU?

I've had this happen - if you have a long post - it sometimes makes sense to type it in another program (word etc.) and then copy/paste over.
Finished is better than perfect......
Re: no spark
Yes orange wire is hooked up and I seen where the fuel pump relay gets power to the pump when motor is turning over
No I'm getting no spark at all, I do have a key for power on then a push button to turn motor so I don't loose power to relays

Re: no spark
any other ideas I'll take whatever I can get
Re: no spark
I'd start pining out the wiring for the ignitor and coil. There are tests in the FSM for these components. S13 or S14? Sure you're following the correct wiring diagram for your engine series? Sure there's a rotor under your cap? It'll be something dumb, it usually is.

Re: no spark
New up date,
Still nothing!!!!!
I pulled and went over the harness again, pin by pin, I checked every wire. I even grounded the Ignitor chip...I have all grounds grounded I have pulled the CAS......NOTHING
I even removed the relays and hooked every thing to just the fuse .....NOTHING
Im at a point that I just don't know
all I do know is the ECM and Ignitor started another motor

Re: no spark
New question....do I need the Intake Air Temperature sensor?
This is what I found, the 4 wire plug that go's to the Idle Air Control...I have the BLACK/YELLOW
going to 12V....light blue going to pin 113 on the ECU. the other two wires BLUE/w RED stripe and LIGHT BLUE/w Yellow stripe that are cut off. Anyone know what these are or if I need tem to get spark?
