CA18DET / 510

Post by jaredperry »

So I am coming to somewhat of a close to my CA18DET swap into my 510 and I am wondering what coolant hoses are typically used. I am using a KA radiator, the one that goes to about the insides of the headlights and has both the in / out on the passengers side.

Thanks,

When it comes to radiator hoses just get a wire hanger and bend it to the path you want the hose to travel. Take the hanger down to the auto parts store and just ask if you can go to the back as it would be a custom application. This is what I did with my SR swap.

Not a lot of CA knowledge, it's not a common swap. Post a picture of what you're working with, it probably matches up with one of the other S-chassis engines (KA or SR).

Both KA hoes worked. I just had to trim both hoses.

This is an interesting motor swap, post a build thread.
Interested in the difficulty of the mounts ect. as well as ecu and electrics.
Decent horsepower and decent price point from JDM.
I love my car deeply. I just sometimes wish it wasn't factory green.
