My 71 4-Door 510 Project
I hid all the wiring on my car as well. I went to great pains to do it. And you know, no one commented about it! In fact, people would look under the hood and say - Hmmm, just an L series, nothing special done!!....
I just cringe, what they don't see, they don't bother to think about. There isn't a single relay, fuse box, electrical junction visible. I even hid the wires to the wiper motor by running them through the cowl vent area! And all wires to the motor come from the bottom of the engine bay. You really have to look to see them. Even the coil wire runs into the wheel well to be hidden.

Byron, that's absolutely hysterical....your right, I never noticed....but...there was this nagging thought that your engine compartment was so clean and simple....!!!!
You should feel proud, you accomplished what you set out to do, hide the wires to the extent, that it took them even right out of visual perecption...they DID NOT EXIST.
Now, if I can figure out how to hide all the boost/control lines.....

Thanks Bryon, that’s my goal as well to hide all of the wiring. It’s tedious work, takes a lot of time, but will be a great finishing touch to my engine bay. My goal is to get rid of all the clutter and have it perfectly clean. Heck I’ve even cut out the horn mounts and welded it up flat to clean it up.

Yeah I was wondering that also. It’s made of glass and aluminum I believe. I haven’t started it yet, so I’ll let you know if it can take the heat. I put it there where it can be seen for car shows and stuff. I will be going to a lot of them when I get her running again.

Here are a few updated pictures I took today.
These first two was taken December 10 just wanted to show the struts.
The red car parked behind me is my buddy Ben’s car.
I sure wish I took the hood and cowl down when I got the bay painted.
As you can see the header paint didn’t work out. Next time I take it off it’s going to the jet hot shop.
Just thought I’d throw this picture in.
She’s bout 95% done, there’s still some wiring to clean up and do, but she’s drivable now.
