The White Sloth Project
The White Sloth Project
Hey Realmers,
It's about time that I started posting my four (+) year long project build. I've done most of the work myself and now that it's at paint I have some time to share.
Edit: No one wants to read a bunch of crap - post some pics already!
P.S. If anyone recognizes this car and has any information on it please contact me. The previous owner didn't know much about the car, but he did purchase it from a guy in Davis, CA.
Let the restoration commence!

Re: The White Sloth Project
I can't find a picture of the day the car was delivered by the previous owner, but here it is once I drove it to my Father's house about 2 miles away - which was the ONLY time that I've driven the car to this day! Sad, I know.

Got a great deal on some SU's that were rebuilt by ZTherapy. Still want me some DCOE though.

Re: The White Sloth Project
Decided to go the 280zx strut route which meant the 13" wheels that came with the car would have to be replaced so they would clear the calipers.Four years ago not too many people were sporting the RB's, but today they're ubiquitous. I went with 16x7 +22 with Yokohma Parada Spec 2's in 205x45x16.

Re: The White Sloth Project
Now that I can actually see how the car sits with the 16's I think it's time to lower it more.
I ended up purchasing a set of Techo Toy Tunning front coilovers with the 7inch spring (thanks Hainz for the tip) and a set of Ground Control rear coilovers. Also added the steel braided goodridge lines front and back.

Re: The White Sloth Project
When I first bought this car my intentions were not to throw every last dime I had at it (no pun intended), but to drive it and use it as a tool to teach myself how to Weld/Paint/Etc. I have learned a ton, but the way that I've gone about things I would have definitely changed if I knew that this was going to turn into a full Resto.
Started grinding off the surface rust and old paint...
